About RCC Institute of Information Technology
RCC Institute of Information Technology accepts WBJEE for admission to the B.Tech courses. WBJEE result 2024 has been declared for RCC Institute of Information Technology admission to B.Tech courses. WBJEE 2024 counselling process is expected to begin in July.
The old Regional Computer Centre (RCC), Calcutta (in JU) established the RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) in 1999 as a unique collaborative initiative of NIC, Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India, and Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. The management of RCCIIT was handed from the Government of India to the State Government in 2003. The institute is accredited by NBA and NAAC with a B++ grade. Students need to pass exams like WBJEE, JEE Main, JELET, PGET. GATE, WBJECA, and CET to get admission to RCC Institute of Information Technology.
Since then, RCCIIT has been the State's only engineering college managed by an autonomous Society (RCC Institute of Technology) established by the State Government. As one of the State's oldest engineering institutions, it presently ranks among the top ten private and government engineering schools. RCCIIT is the only self-financing engineering college whose Board of Management (BOM) and Governing Body (BOG) are directly constituted by the State Govt. with senior officials from the Higher Education Department, Professors and Administrators from JU and WBJEEB, and eminent academicians and industry persons.
Since its founding, the State has contributed significant contributions to the institute's development in terms of land and funds. It boasts best-in-class infrastructure and teaching-learning resources and is in a well-connected location in mega-metro Kolkata, spread on a spacious 4.63 acres of land leased to the college by the State Govt. Faculty (and staff) salary structures set by the state government and substantial opportunities for research and self-development provide attentive service to students.
RCCIIT is made up of two campuses that include six-degree programmes and two support departments that serve around 2000 students. The perfect environment for students to cultivate their creative endeavors while striving for greatness is created by a beautiful green and eco-friendly environment, a culture of conventional academic procedures, high ethical standards, and strong teacher-student bonding. Despite the epidemic, there has been tremendous improvement in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities each year.

RCCIIT Kolkata courses are offered in the stream of engineering. Candidates can opt for UG and PG courses at this college. RCCIIT Kolkata admission is given to candidates on the basis of the entrance exam and candidates' eligibility. For example, for admission to RCCIIT Kolkata B.Tech course, candidates must qualify WBJEE or JEE Mains exam in the same year and provide their rank card. The RCCIIT Kolkata eligibility criteria for B.Tech is to pass in class 12 with 45% or more marks. WBJEE 2024 result been declared at wbjeeb.nic.in. The counselling is expected to start in July, 2024 for BTech admission.
Furthermore, the RCC Institute Of Information Technology admission process for MCA requires candidates to qualify for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam MCA (WB JECA) and appear in the personal interview round conducted by the WBJECA.
As for the M.Tech admission to RCC Institute Of Information Technology, candidates can appear for one of any two exams which are GATE and PGET (conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal). If a candidate gets admission to RCCIIT Kolkata M.Tech programme with a GATE score, then they are also eligible for scholarships offered to GATE-qualified candidates.
